Ghost Trap Rodeo Event to be held on July 13th

TAMPA BAY, FL - June26, 2019 — Coastal Impact Fund will be partnering with Tampa Bay Watch, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and Ocean Aid 360 to host a Ghost Trap Rodeo event on July 13th! The event will be held simultaneously in seven locations around Tampa Bay.

The event will occur during the closure of the blue crab fishery. In an effort to identify and retrieve lost and abandoned blue crab traps from Florida, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has established regional blue crab trap closures, where all blue crab traps are legal to be removed per permitted efforts.
